The Leadership Development Corps (LDC) at Westbrook Intermediate is a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable life skills while earning P.E. credit. Designed for motivated students, LDC promotes self-discipline, leadership, and personal growth through engaging activities and real-world experiences.
Why Join LDC?
Students in LDC benefit from a supportive, structured environment that encourages character development, teamwork, and goal-setting. The program’s mission is to build positive self-concept, strong communication skills, and a winning attitude.
LDC Objectives:
- Learn to live and work in harmony with others.
- Learn self-control through self-discipline.
- Become aware of the harmful effects of drugs.
- Develop effective communication and leadership skills.
- Develop leadership potential.
- Develop appreciation for physical fitness.
- Prepare for success in high school, college, the workforce, or military.
- Develop traditional values and ethics.
What You’ll Do
Each day in LDC offers something new! From team-building activities to physical challenges, students stay active and engaged.
