Leadership Development Corps

Empowering Students to Lead with Confidence

The Leadership Development Corps (LDC) at Westbrook Intermediate is a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable life skills while earning P.E. credit. Designed for motivated students, LDC promotes self-discipline, leadership, and personal growth through engaging activities and real-world experiences.

Why Join LDC?

Students in LDC benefit from a supportive, structured environment that encourages character development, teamwork, and goal-setting. The program’s mission is to build positive self-concept, strong communication skills, and a winning attitude.

LDC Objectives:

  1. Learn to live and work in harmony with others.
  2. Learn self-control through self-discipline.
  3. Become aware of the harmful effects of drugs.
  4. Develop effective communication and leadership skills.
  5. Develop leadership potential.
  6. Develop appreciation for physical fitness.
  7. Prepare for success in high school, college, the workforce, or military.
  8. Develop traditional values and ethics.

 

What You’ll Do

Each day in LDC offers something new! From team-building activities to physical challenges, students stay active and engaged.

You’ll experience:
